你 means “you”. 好 means “good” or “well”. Together, 你好 is the greeting “hello” — learn it as a whole expression.

Can I use it on an iPhone?
Yes, you can open the web app in Safari. Use Share → Add to Home Screen for a shortcut. Microphone features depend on your browser, device and permissions.
Do I need to be in a university class?
No. Free practice is separate from private courses. Joining a private group requires its teacher’s approval. Xue Bobo is an independent project, not an official university service.
Will my existing account still work?
Yes. This website links to the same learning app and account system. Use your existing login. If you change browsers or web addresses, you may need to sign in again; only synced progress is available across devices.
Is the app finished?
Xue Bobo is in active development. Some features and lessons are more developed than others. Story Mode, public course creation and store releases are not available yet.
